During the process of reaching an adult stage, cork cells produce a substance called SUBERINA. This substance actually kills those same cells, which in turn fill up with air and become a strong insulation force. For this reason ISOLCORK panels are excellent insulation both in winter seasons, contributing to lower heating costs and in the summer seasons, keeping the heat out. ISOLCORK panels also increase evaporation, thus normalizing areas with high levels of humidity.
