PREPARATION CORK FLOATING FLOOR |
Cork floor preparation
Ecork's cork floating floors need not be glued to the ground. The cork tiles are bonded by inter-locking joints and gluing of the panels. The panels must be kept at room temperature for approximately 24 hours before the actual installation. The floor must be sound, smooth and level. The underside has to be perfectly dry but polyethylene sheets may be installed in order to isolate any humidity. It is essential to use a D3 adhesive to glue on all of the panels.

INSTALLATION CORK FLOATING FLOOR |
Cork tiles installation
Place the panel with the female joint turned towards the wall. Do not forget to apply a 8 - 10 mm spacer between the wall and the respective panels. Then apply the D3 vinyl glue inside the female joint of the next panel. Use a wood buffer to "tap on" to avoid damaging the male joint allowing the two parts bond. You may use a handsaw or a jigsaw to cut the cork panels.
